Prior to attending the screening, I admit to not knowing much about One Hand Clapping, the 1974 documentary featuring Paul McCartney and Wings recorded at Abbey Road studios...
Unfortunately missed it at our local cinema, but found your review very interesting. Must admit that Wings didn’t click for me at the time, but much more so now!
Hi Gayle — I saw this last week and really enjoyed it, that Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five vocal in Studio 2 was awesome, as was hearing Suicide, which isn't on the accompanying album. It's amazing to think they put so much effort and investment to film the thing and then just dropped it, put it on the shelf for 50 years. Even if the footage is pretty poor quality, the album is fantastic.
Hi Tom. I've just given the album a listen this afternoon and saw that 'Suicide' had been omitted, but quite a few tracks are on there that aren't in the film. I wonder why. Glad to hear you enjoyed it, too!
Thanks, Joe. Oh, really? The promo posters mentioned worldwide so I would have assumed including the US. Hopefully you'll get to see it on DVD or via streaming sites if you can't see it at the cinema.
I live near Cincinnati, Ohio - not really known as a hot bed for things like this. I could be wrong, so I’ll check to see if it’s playing somewhere close by. Worst case, it’ll show up on streaming at some point, and I’ll it from the comfort of my couch. Again, great review!
Thanks, and good luck! I see on the official One Hand Clapping website, there's a showing tonight at 7pm at ‘Little Art Theatre’ in Yellow Springs, Ohio, but I've no idea if that's anywhere near where you live.
Thank you for checking. Yellow Springs is about 90 minutes away from me. Honestly, I didn’t know that town existed before you mentioned it! I think I’ll have to take a pass this time…saving my energy for my flight to Paris and then Birmingham to see SQUEEZE this coming Sunday night.

Cheers, Mike. I'd be surprised if it doesn't get added to a streaming service, and hopefully DVD as well.
Hoping it does come onto a streaming service. Saw him at Hampden Park around 2012. Incredible performance, even when he did 'that' song!

Fantastic! I’m jealous abut also happy for you! Haven’t heard about any screenings here in the States yet.
